The Moscow Metro by now is the only public transport operator in the world, carrying out 100% of fare payment operations using contactless automated system of fare collection, based on the advanced MIFARE technology.
The existing automated fare collection system with electronic tickets, based on smart cards has been implemented in the Moscow Metro by the specialists of the Smart Technologies Group.
